On Saturday, April 11, the Coffee County Democratic Party will host a Democratic candidate forum from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1335 McArthur St. in Manchester.

The Coffee County Democratic Party will host its first Beans and Cornbread Democratic Candidate Forum on Saturday, April 11th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00, with the forum beginning at 6:30. The event is free and open to the public.
Eleven Democratic candidates will address attendees on the issues shaping Coffee
County and the state of Tennessee, representing races from Road Commissioner and County Commission to U.S. Senate and Governor. Confirmed participants include Carnita Atwater (Governor), Maria Brewer (U.S. Senate), Victoria Broderick (U.S. House), Mike Stein (State Representative, District 47), Khamai Rozier (Coffee Co. Mayor), Debbie Williams (Register of Deeds), Holly McLaren (Manchester Alderman), Zak Mohyuddin (Manchester City School Board), Marlene Genesio (Coffee Co. Commission, Dist. 4), Larry Bowen (Coffee Co. Commission, Dist. 2), and Eugene O’Kelley (Road Commissioner, Seat 3).
The evening also features a community beans and cornbread recipe contest, with prizes awarded for top dishes. Residents interested in entering may submit their recipes at https://bit.ly/ccdpbeanscornbread.
Donations will be accepted on behalf of Democratic candidates and for medical debt
relief in Coffee County. Every dollar contributed to medical debt relief will be matched at a 200-to-1 ratio, meaning a single dollar has the potential to eliminate $200 in local medical debt.
This event replaces the party’s regular Future Forward Saturday gathering for April.
