Coffee County is hosting a Fraud Prevention Awareness Summit from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
The event aims to educate Coffee County residents on jury, arrest warrant, cybercrime, real estate, and investment scams. County Mayor Dennis Hunt and Sheriff Chad Partin will give the opening remarks. They will be followed by six speakers: Circuit Court Clerk Jenny Anthony, Sheriff’s Department Investigator Jonathan Anthony, First Vision Bank President Brad Goodwin, Coffee County Bank Branch President Brent Parsley, real estate agent Jimmy Jernigan, and Investigator Nicholas Christian of Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). Christian works in TBI’s Cybercrime & Digital Evidence Division.
The event will be held in the Meeting Hall at the Coffee County Administrative Plaza at 1329 McArthur St. Lunch will be provided by Citizens Tri-County Bank.
