On Monday, Jan. 26, a North Coffee Volunteer Fire Department truck slid off the road and overturned on Farrar Hill Road in Manchester.
According to Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin, the Department was responding to a farm shop fire when the truck slid off a curve into a ditch and rolled onto its side.
Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) worked the crash. According to THP’s preliminary report, firemen Gregory Wright and Dustin Good were in the firetruck when it crashed. Wright was uninjured. Good was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to Partin, Good will be okay.
Other departments responded to the farm shop fire, including the Coffee County Rescue Squad. However, Partin said the fire resulted in a total loss.
