Tullahoma City Schools (TCS) announced that four of its staff members had been named finalists for awards from the Tennessee Division of Coordinated School Health.
The staff members are School Nurse Beth Hill (Robert E. Lee Elementary), Physical Education Teacher Macie Honey (Robert E. Lee Elementary), Director of Schools Catherine Stephens (districtwide), and Coordinated School Health Director Gina Bumbalough (districtwide).
Award finalists and statewide recipients will be honored during the 19th Annual Division of Coordinated School Health Institute in Nashville on March 5. The recognition will take place during the luncheon ceremony at 11 a.m.

Tullahoma City Schools has four staff members who recently learned that they are finalists for awards from the Tennessee Division of Coordinated School Health.
Robert E. Lee Elementary School Nurse Beth Hill is a finalist for the Award of Excellence: Health Education.
REL Physical Education Teacher Macie Honey is a finalist for the Award of Excellence: Physical Education/Physical Activity.
“Being named a finalist for the Award of Excellence in Health Education is truly an honor,” Hill said. “I am deeply grateful to the teachers for allowing time for my health lessons and for their understanding of how important it is to build a strong foundation for lifelong healthy habits. Early health education plays a critical role
in preventing future physical and mental health challenges, and I’m proud to contribute to that foundation. I’m thankful to work in an environment that values the whole student.”
“I feel incredibly proud and thankful to be recognized as a finalist for the Coordinated School Health Award of Excellence,” Honey added. “This award represents teamwork, dedication, and a shared belief that student health and well-being matter. I’m honored to stand alongside so many passionate educators across Tennessee.”
TCS Director of Schools Dr. Catherine Stephens is a finalist for Director of Schools/Supervisor of the Year. Gina Bumbalough, the district’s Coordinated School Health Director, is a finalist for the School Health Champion Award.
“How amazing and how incredible is it that we have four individuals named as finalists for these state-level awards?” Dr. Stephens asked. “This certainly is reflective of the incredible things that are happening inside our district, and showcases that we are dedicated to the overall well-being of our students. I am extremely proud of Gina Bumbalough, Beth Hill and Macie Honey for their dedication and commitment to our students. I am also honored to be included as a finalist.”
