Peterson Media Group extends congratulations to this week’s hometown heroes of the week across all four radio stations: Jon Holland (Thunder Radio), Marcus Sintic (93.9 The Duck), Jennifer Simmons (The Rooster 101.5), and Hannah Hobbs (Whiskey Country 105.1 & 95.9).

Holland is a sergeant with the Manchester Police Department. Here’s what the person who nominated him had to say:
“Sergeant Jon Holland has proudly served the Manchester community for many years and is someone who never hesitates to go the extra mile—not only for the people he serves, but for his fellow officers as well. Most recently, he spent an entire weekend building and installing Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) mounts in every patrol vehicle, making sure every officer had the equipment they needed to do their job safely and efficiently. His dedication, leadership, and willingness to step up whenever needed make a lasting impact on both the department and the community. Manchester is fortunate to have someone as committed and selfless as Sergeant Holland.”
Sintic is an engineer with the Tullahoma Fire Department. Here’s what the person who nominated him had to say:
“Engineer Marcus Sintic has dedicated the past decade to serving the Tullahoma community with professionalism, courage, and the kind of commitment that defines a true hometown hero. He recently reached 10 years of service with the Tullahoma Fire Department, a milestone that reflects his dedication to both the department and the community he proudly serves. Whether he’s responding to emergencies, supporting his fellow firefighters, or stepping up wherever he’s needed, Marcus is always someone others can count on. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help make him an invaluable part of the Tullahoma Fire Department.”
Simmons serves on the Coffee County Rescue Squad. Here’s what the person who nominated her had to say:
“Jennifer Simmons is the definition of a hometown hero. No matter the time of day or night, if the squad is called out, Jennifer is there volunteering her time and doing whatever needs to be done. She never asks for recognition and is always willing to put others before herself. Her dedication, dependability, and selfless spirit make a difference not only to those she helps, but to every member of the Rescue Squad she serves alongside. Jennifer is truly one in a million, and our community is incredibly fortunate to have someone so committed to helping others. She is more than deserving of this recognition.”
Hobbs serves with Franklin County EMS. Here’s what the person who nominated her had to say:
“This girl goes above and beyond for everyone she knows. She is the true definition of someone who would give the shirt off her back to help another person. She cares more deeply than most, and during one of the hardest times in my life, she made me feel safe, comfortable, and in control. Even outside of work, every time our paths cross, she takes a moment to check in on me and almost always has a smile on her face. Her kindness, compassion, and genuine care for others make a lasting impact on everyone she meets. I would trust her with any life around me, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.”
