Anna Idell (Jones) West, 94 years old, passed away June 5, 2026 at home after a brief illness. Born in Warren County, TN to the late Alva and Velma (Schrock) Jones she was preceded in death by her seven siblings, Gwendoline (H.T.) Pelham, Treca (Burl) Johnson, Royce (Shirley) Jones, Jane (Bob) Williams, Lane (Ann) Jones; two infant siblings who died at birth, and three infant great grandchildren who died at birth, Langford, Shepherd and Palmer. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Gene West; sons, Dale (Mary) West, Duane (Laura) West and daughter Donna (Matt) Towne. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel West, Aaron (Alyse) West, Emily (Mike) Ho, Isaac (Kristen) Towne, Caleb (Robin) West, Cody (Alexis) West, and Grace (Mateo) Palmitier and great-grandchildren, Alice, Hudson, Davie, Darcy, Dawson, Chaney, Liv, Sophia, Eloise, and Levi. She is survived by five nieces, seven nephews, and many friends and neighbors.
Raised on a farm during the “Depression Era” by hard-working parents, Idell’s life was centered around service to her family and others. She was a cheerleader of her husband and children’s activities, a supreme chef whose main ingredient was tender loving care, a singer who praised her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through song, and loving wife and mother. She was a long time member of Forest Mill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 8, 2026 from 6-9 PM and Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 12-2 PM. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with burial following at Forest Mill Cemetery with Elder Timothy Pelham and Elder John Daniel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Forest Mill Baptist Church Building Fund.
