Jason Randall Schmidt, 45, passed away on July 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service to others.
Born on December 29, 1980, in Panorama, California, Jason was a devoted son, father, coach, and friend. He was the beloved son of Brenda and the proud father of Devon Schmidt, Maranda Schmidt, Fallon Tracy-Schmidt, and Ava Leverette, as well as the proud grandfather of Elle Schmidt, with another grandchild on the way. His children and grandchildren were the greatest joys of his life.
Jason spent much of his career in sales, primarily in the automotive industry, where his friendly personality and genuine ability to connect with people earned him the respect of both coworkers and customers. His greatest passion, however, was never found at work—it was found on the baseball field.
A talented baseball player himself, Jason found even greater fulfillment in coaching young athletes. He loved investing in children, encouraging them not only to become better players but also to grow into confident and respectful young people. His patience, enthusiasm, and belief in others left a lasting impact on countless families.
Jason was a faithful member of Kings Cross Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. He lived with compassion, generosity, and a heart for serving others. Whether offering encouragement, sharing a laugh, or lending a helping hand, Jason had a way of making people feel valued and welcome.
Those who knew Jason will remember his warm smile, his caring heart, and his unwavering love for his family and community. He was a good man who was deeply loved by many, and his memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched.
Though his time here was far too short, Jason’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, church family, former teammates, players, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
