Jerry Wayne Bradford, age 68, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester.
Born in Manchester on July 11, 1958, to the late Franklin and Cora Bradford, Jerry was a lifelong resident of the area whose quick humor and warm spirit brought laughter to those around him. Jerry enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—whether fishing, or visiting the Nashville Superspeedway with his grandson Jackson. In his younger years, he took great pride in his vegetable garden, especially his tomatoes, a passion he kept alive throughout his life, always making sure to keep a tomato plant growing right in his kitchen. He also had a lifelong fondness for chickens, but above all, Jerry was a devoted animal lover who dearly missed his faithful 18-year-old companion, Mitsy, a beloved Shih Tzu and Chihuahua mix.
Jerry’s greatest love in life was his wife of 23 years, Jorene Bradford. Their marriage transformed his life for the best, and following her passing, he carried her memory close to his heart every day.
In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Jorene, Jerry was preceded in death by six siblings: Jessie Bradford, Floyd Bradford, Monroe Bradford, Hershel Bradford, Willy Bradford, and Ruth Judge; his granddaughter, Sheldon Hullett; and his cherished dog, Mitsy.
He is survived by his sister, Pirleen Hickerson and her husband, Tommy; his son, Joey Bradford; his step-sons, Paul Allen Hullett Jr. and his wife, Shelly, and Robert (Barbara) Hullett; seven grandchildren, Jackson Lucas-Hullett, Alexa Lucas-Hullett, Harrison Lucas-Hullett and his wife, Alexis, Bryson Hullett, Hayden Hullett, Joey Bradford Jr., and Jaden Bradford; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A graveside burial service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Zion Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro, Tennessee. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Family and friends attending are kindly asked to arrive at the cemetery no earlier than 9:30 AM.
