Kenneth Charles Matlock, age 69, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family in the comfort of his home. Born on May 11, 1957, in Manchester, Tennessee, Kenneth was the son of the late Dairel and Chestine Matlock.
Kenneth was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherree Matlock; his son, Brian Matlock (Angel); and his cherished grandchildren, Brody and Annastyn Matlock. He also leaves behind his step-grandchildren, Jerry Reed, Charlotte Reed, Brittany Reed, Justin Reed (Alicia), Chelsea Ayala (Sam), and Brandon Bowers (Holly Adams). In addition, Kenneth is survived by his brothers, Michael and Fred Matlock, and his sister, Brenda Ashley (Rick), as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, extended family members, and friends.
Kenneth enjoyed the simple things in life and the time spent doing what he loved most. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he also loved spending time on the golf course. Whether he was enjoying the outdoors, playing a round of golf, or simply spending time with those he loved, Kenneth created memories that his family and friends will forever hold close to their hearts.
Above all, Kenneth will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and for the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he leaves behind will live on through the many lives he touched. The family would like to say a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and their wonderful staff.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Manchester Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Manchester Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
