The Drug Enforcement Administration will host National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 25, and local counties are participating by organizing Drug Take Back events.
Drug Take Back events help to dispose of unused medications. All forms of medication are accepted except for liquids and needles.
“For sixteen years, National Prescription Drug Take Back Day has helped Americans safely dispose of unneeded medications—those that are old, unwanted, or expired—to prevent misuse and abuse,” the Warren County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page.
Coffee County Collaborative Coalition will host an event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (CST) at the Coffee County Recovery Court at 604 College St. in Manchester.
Warren County Prevention and Intervention Coalition and Warren County Sheriff’s Department will host an event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (CST) at 226 Hobson St. in McMinnville.
The Chattanooga Police Department will host events at multiple locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EDT). The locations are listed in the graphic below:
