Several local police departments announced new hires over the weekend as officers graduated Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) Basic Police School on Friday, Sept. 26.
TLETA was authorized in 1963 to train state, county, and city law enforcement officers. Its goals are to provide excellent instruction in basic, advanced and technical subjects for the Tennessee law enforcement community, to employ teaching methods best suited for the subject taught and the student’s particular learning needs, to continually upgrade course content with the latest research and recommended professional practices, and to stimulate inquiry and provide fresh perspectives on the law enforcement career. The Basic Police School is a 12-week training course that is offered four times per year.
Tullahoma Police Department welcomed Officers Taylor Kaiser and Riley Reagan.
Manchester Police Department welcomed Officers Hunter Thompson and Zachary Smotherman.
Fayetteville Police Department welcomed Officers Isaiah Poulsen and Mary Vestal.
Winchester Police Department welcomed Patrolman Chase Estes.
McMinnville Police Department welcomed Patrol Officer Jadon Wood.
Metro Moore County Sheriff’s Department announced the promotion of Hudson O’Haver to Deputy Sheriff.
