Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Among the items on the Agenda is a resolution to contract with Chanderthinks LLC for $64,200 for tourism. The Resolution is sponsored by Mayor Joey Hobbs.
According to its website, Chandlerthinks are “destination marketing specialists.” The company states “We’re a group of marketing specialists that help cities, communities, regions or destinations find direction for the promotion of their place.”
The city voted in July to hire its first tourism director when it appointed Kim Hughes to the position.
Coffee County ranks 19th out of 95 Tennessee counties in tourism dollars spent with upwards of $146 million in direct spending. However, arguably the largest piece of the tourism puzzle for Coffee County is the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which announced earlier in August that it will not be returning in 2027.

The board is set to vote on the second reading of an ordinance zoning property owned by Carolyn Clabough, located on Cat Creek Road and Perry Road to R-1 and recently annexed into the City.
