The Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Coffee County UT Extension’s new Dr. James Neel memorial bench with a ribbon cutting on Friday, March 20.
Neel was a UT Extension Specialist in Animal Science and was an advocate for agriculture and youth development. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1958. He passed away on July 24, 2025.
“Thanks to the Coffee County UT Extension for allowing us help celebrate the legacy of Dr. James Neel, with a ribbon cutting for a memorial bench in his honor,” the Chamber said in a Facebook post.
The Manchester area Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to recruit, promote, and celebrate business.
