At a special call meeting on Monday, April 6, the Manchester Planning Commission approved a site plan that would bring a Dairy Queen to Woodbury Highway.
Kendal Sadler, owner of Sadler & Associates Consulting Engineers, presented the site plan to the commission. He emphasized that Dairy Queen was excited to come to Manchester.
“They are not nearly as excited about being here as I am [about them being here],” Vice Mayor Mark Messick said.
Citizens in attendance of the meeting and various other commission members shared Messick’s excitement.
The Dairy Queen will be located across the street from the Manchester Rec Center and next door to a Dollar General.
The site plan was approved unanimously, pending three punch list items, including the creation of a long-term maintenance plan and coordination with the Manchester Water & Sewer Department about water and sewer capacity.
