An executive session of the Manchester Water & Sewer Commission has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts with City Attorney Craig Johnson.
“Next meeting, I may ask for 30 minutes of your time before the meeting,” Manchester Mayor Joey Hobbs said at the April 9 meeting of the commission. “There are some actions of some previous employees that we need to have some conversations about, but it will be in private.”
Hobbs went on to say that licensed water and sewer operators can be held civilly and criminally liable for things that “they don’t do correctly.” He said this could include things like deleting documents and drafting incorrect reports.
“There’s a host of things that has happened to us that we are looking at,” Hobbs said.
Executive sessions are closed to the public. In its statement to Peterson Media Group, the City of Manchester did not specify when the session might be held. The next meeting of the Water & Sewer Commission is Thursday, May 7.
