Ron Baucom passed away on June 13, 2026 at the age of 70.
Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was known for his strong work ethic, his willingness to help others, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Ron enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was a passionate fan of North Carolina basketball, Alabama football, and the Tennessee Titans. He loved spending time outdoors riding his four-wheeler, playing a competitive game of Scrabble, and traveling with those he loved. Ron was a skilled handyman who could fix just about anything and appreciated a good western movie, a perfectly cooked steak, a fine cigar, and a glass of scotch or whiskey. He could often be found relaxing in a rocking chair, enjoying conversation and the company of family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Missi Baucom; daughters, Jayne Baucom (Kevin Flores) and Jenna Echols (James); sons, David Baucom (Kayce), Michael Baucom (Cat), and Jason Baucom (Melanie); granddaughters, Juliet Echols and Kinley Baucom; sisters, Deb McNeill (Joe) and Patti Baucom; brother, Charlie Baucom (Kelly); stepmother, Dianne Baucom; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral services.
The family will forever cherish the memories, laughter, stories, and love Ron shared throughout his life.
