On Friday, Feb. 27, Tennessee State Senator Shane Reeves announced that Evans Plant Farm has been awarded a $52,207 grant by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.
According to its website, Evans Plant Farm is a small, family-owned greenhouse business that has served Middle Tennessee for 40+ years. They offer ferns, annuals and perennials, bushes, potting soil, seasonal products, mulch, vegetable plants, fertilizer, landscaping supplies and more.
Evans Plant Farm is located at 7633 Manchester Pike in Murfreesboro.

Today, State Senator Shane Reeves (R-Murfreesboro) announced that the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA) is providing a grant through the Agricultural Enterprise Fund (AEF) of $52,207 to Evans Plant Farm. The cost-share funding will support business improvements and operational expansion, helping the company enhance efficiency and continue contributing to the region’s agricultural economy.
“Agriculture remains a cornerstone of our local economy, and investments like this help ensure that businesses such as Evans Plant Farm can continue to grow and succeed,” said Reeves. “I’m grateful to the Department of Agriculture for partnering with our local producers and providing resources that strengthen economic opportunity in our community.”
