Stanley Lynn Downs, of Tullahoma, unexpectedly passed this life on Thursday, June 25th, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 74. Stanley was born in Tullahoma to the late James and Alma Blanton Downs. During his life, he worked as a lead pump operator at AEDC and was also a full-time farmer. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by three brothers, Nelson, Dana, and Dale Downs. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen Downs; one daughter, Jessica Downs and her wife Kelsey; one son, Jay Downs and his fiancé Amber Smith; three grandchildren, Hudson Downs, Blakelynn Alford, and Harper Downs; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Malcom Turner; and special cousin, Jeannette Bell. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28th, 2026 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29th, 2026 at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harold Partin, Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Austin Duke, Bailey Duke, Trent Duke, David Hunter, Tom Throneberry, Ricky Harris, Jonathan Anthony, and Chris Anthony serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Anthony, Randy Kennedy, Gary Preston, Richard Newman, and Bobby Partin. Kilgore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
