Peterson Media Group extends congratulations to this week’s teachers of the week across all four radio stations: Krislyn Melson (Thunder Radio), Brady Goodman (93.9 The Duck), Mackenzie Taylor (The Rooster 101.5), and Rebekah Davis (Whiskey Country 105.1 & 95.9).

Melson works in the English Department at Coffee County Central High School. Here’s what the person who nominated her had to say:
“Mrs. Melson has transformed my life as a student. I learn the most in her classes, and she creates a warm and welcoming environment for all students. While her classes can be a bit of a challenge, with her, anything is possible.”
Goodman is an English teacher at Tullahoma High School. Here’s what the person who nominated him had to say:
“I am honored to nominate Brady Goodman for Teacher of the Week in recognition of the positive impact he makes both inside and outside the classroom. As an English teacher, Brady has a unique ability to engage students, inspire a love for learning, and help them develop the critical thinking and communication skills that will benefit them long after they leave his classroom. He creates an environment where students feel valued, challenged, and supported, consistently encouraging them to become the best version of themselves. Beyond the classroom, Brady exemplifies servant leadership. As an assistant football coach, he invests countless hours mentoring student-athletes, teaching them the importance of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and perseverance. His influence extends far beyond wins and losses, helping shape young people into responsible adults. Brady is also a devoted husband and the proud father of two. He models the importance of balancing family, faith, and service, demonstrating the same compassion, integrity, and commitment in his personal life that he brings to his students and athletes every day. Whether he is teaching literature, coaching on the football field, or encouraging students in the hallways, Brady consistently leads by example. His dedication to education, his school, and his community make him exceptionally deserving of this recognition. Brady Goodman represents everything a Teacher of the Week should be—a passionate educator, dedicated coach, outstanding role model, and caring family man who makes a lasting difference in the lives of those around him.”
Taylor is a second-grade teacher at Hickerson Elementary School. Here’s what the person who nominated her had to say:
“I’m nominating Mackenzie because she has an incredible gift for balancing structure with fun. She keeps her students engaged, entertained, and excited to learn while still maintaining high expectations and classroom discipline. Even though she’s strict when needed, it’s clear everything she does comes from how deeply she cares about her students. Her love for kids shines through in the way she encourages them, supports them, and creates a classroom where they feel both challenged and genuinely cared for.”
Davis is an HMI teacher at Lynchburg Elementary School. Here’s what the person who nominated her had to say:
“Ms. Davis has a way of making every student feel seen, valued, and capable of succeeding. She brings so much patience, kindness, and positivity into her classroom, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. She encourages her students to believe in themselves, celebrates every accomplishment, and creates a learning environment where kids feel safe and excited to come to school each day. We are so thankful for the lasting impact she is making on our children.”
