The Tennessee Department of Health selected 12 organizations to receive its Nicotine-Free Futures grant.

The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) has selected 12 organizations across the state as grant recipients for the Nicotine-Free Futures initiative. The funding will support these organizations in reducing youth nicotine use and promoting healthier, tobacco-free communities.
“Preventing nicotine addiction before it starts is critical to protecting the current and future health of Tennessee’s youth,” Tennessee Health Commissioner Dr. John Dunn said. “These community partners are on the front lines of prevention, and this investment will strengthen their ability to create lasting change.”
More than $2 million in funding through TDH and the Nicotine-Free Futures program will support local prevention efforts, education, and policy strategies that address nicotine use and addiction among youth and young adults.
The following organizations are the 2026 Nicotine-Free Futures grant recipients:

- Align9
- Carter County Drug Prevention Coalition
- DeKalb County Prevention Coalition
- Drug Free Dickson
- Greene County Anti-Drug Coalition
- Hamblen County Substance Abuse Coalition
- Hamilton County Coalition
- Macon County Schools
- Metro Drug Coalition
- Nashville Thrives
- Youth and Family Resource Network
