Tullahoma High School learned it was the recipient of two grants and issued a press release on July 16.

“During the summer, Tullahoma High School learned it was the recipient of
two grants totaling $52,417.77, which will go toward Career Technical
Education (CTE) programs.
“We are incredibly grateful to receive both the Perkins Reserve Grant and
the TDOT Aeronautics Grant,” said THS Principal Dr. Greg English.
“Every opportunity we can provide – and every barrier we can remove –
helps more students discover their interests, develop valuable skills and
prepare for successful futures. We are excited about the impact these
grants will have on expanding opportunities for our students.”
Earlier this month, the Tennessee Department of Education announced
that THS received $32,417.77 from the Perkins Reserve Grant that
supports innovative CTE expansion across Tennessee. Tullahoma High School will utilize these funds to improve individualized student advisement and to increase access to high-quality industry credentials.
“Additionally, the school plans to expand both criminal justice and architectural and engineering design programs of study, to be offered as dual enrollment.
Additionally, THS has been awarded $20,000 from the Tennessee Department of Transportation Aeronautics and the 2026 Aviation Education Grant Awards. These funds will assist THS aviation students wishing to pursue their private pilot’s license. The grant will include assistance with flight instructor fees, aircraft rental, and private pilot licensing exam fees.
“It is exciting to hear that our district has received these grants as they will allow the high school to continue
providing exceptional opportunities and learning experiences for our students as they pursue career interests
and explore pathways for life after graduation,” said TCS Director of Schools Dr. April Norris. “I am proud of our CTE Director Jessie Kinsey, THS Principal, Dr. English, and our teachers for championing CTE. TCS is ahead of the game in our CTE program, and we will continue to strengthen our program. Thank you to the Tennessee Department of Education and the Department of Transportation for providing these grants.”
