The Tullahoma Fire Department sent out a press release on June 18, thanking organizations that supported the renovation of Fire Station 2.

“The Tullahoma Fire Department would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Sherwin-Williams, Brock Edwards, Quincy Whitworth, Corey Tanner, and Sunrise Painting for their generous support and contributions to the renovation of Fire Station 2.
“Through the generosity of Sherwin-Williams, all paint and painting supplies for the project were donated, including paint for the station’s walls, doors, and trim. The donation represents an estimated savings of more than $2,000 to the taxpayers of Tullahoma.
“The department would also like to recognize Matt Turk of Sunrise Painting for donating his labor and expertise to the project. His contribution alone provided an estimated $9,000 in labor savings to the community.
“Special thanks are extended to Sherwin-Williams Winchester Store Manager Quincy Whitworth and Sherwin-Williams Tullahoma Store Manager Cory Tanner for their leadership, assistance, and commitment to making this project a success. Their support, along with the efforts of Brock Edwards and numerous Sherwin-Williams employees who volunteered their personal time, helped transform Fire Station 2, while saving taxpayers’ dollars.
“Members of the Tullahoma Fire Department worked alongside these volunteers to repaint the interior of Fire Station 2, creating a refreshed and professional environment for the firefighters who serve our citizens every day.
“This project is an outstanding example of how local businesses and community members can come together to support public safety. The generosity shown by Sherwin-Williams, Brock Edwards, Quincy Whitworth, Corey Tanner, Matt Turk, and the many volunteers involved resulted in more than $11,000 in combined savings for the taxpayers of Tullahoma.
“The Tullahoma Fire Department is grateful for this partnership and the continued support of our community. Contributions such as these are a tremendous asset to the department and help us better serve the citizens of Tullahoma.
“Thank you for your commitment to our firefighters and our community.”
