UT Extension will host the Tennessee Registered Judging School on Friday, February 27 in Murfreesboro.
The session will help both new and experience judges refine their skills for judging at fairs and festivals. The registration deadline is Thursday, Feb. 12.

UT Extension is excited to host the upcoming Tennessee Registered Judging School, a premier opportunity for both new and experienced judges to refine their skills and expand their credentials.
The Judging School will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Lane Agri Park, Main Building Auditorium, 315 John R Rice Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN. Check-in is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., with the event running from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This dynamic training series, supported by UT Extension and Extension Volunteers, upholds the tradition of excellence that the Tennessee Registered Judging School is known for. Attendees will benefit from expert-led sessions covering a diverse range of topics, including:
- Baked Goods
- Water Bath Canning
- Pressure Canning
- Fine Arts
- Crochet/Knitting
- Fruits and Vegetables
- Floriculture
- Honey
- Hams
- Eggs
- Youth Exhibits
- Photography
Sessions are tailored to both novice and seasoned judges, ensuring participants are equipped with the latest standards and techniques in fair evaluation. Class offerings may vary based on participant interest.
