The forum will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Church at 117 and will be broadcast live on Thunder Radio 107.9 FM, 1320 AM, 106.7 FM. The Church at 117 is an events center located at 117 East Fort Street in Manchester.
The forum will be moderated by Peterson Media Group (PMG) Vice President Josh Peterson and PMG News Director Katie Northcott. PMG is parent company to Thunder Radio.
Coffee County residents may submit questions for the candidates by emailing thepetersonmediagroup@gmail.com. All candidates for County Mayor, County Clerk, Register of Deeds, Manchester Alderman, and Tullahoma Alderman are invited to the forum.
Candidates invited to participate in the forum are as follows:
- County Mayor: Dennis Hunt, Khamai Rozier, Mark Messick
- County Clerk: Donna Lowe Spaulding, Chassity Harris
- Register of Deeds: Donna Toney, Debbie Williams
- Manchester Alderman: Harold “Rocky” Jones, Dana Douglas, Jeff Perry, Thomas Crosslin, Donny Parsley, Ben Laine, Holly McLaren, Kevin Smith, Paul Thornton
- Tullahoma Alderman: Daniel Berry, Donna Bradford, Brandon Champion, Bobbie Wilson, Mike Dent, Jackie Harding
Qualified candidates for the County Mayor, County Clerk, Register of Deeds, Manchester Alderman, and Tullahoma Alderman should consider this article their invitation to participate in the forum. If a qualified candidate for any of the above races does not see his or her name listed, please email katie@petersonmediagroup.net.
The order of events will proceed as follows (times are approximate):
- County Clerk – 5 p.m. to 5:06 p.m. (three minutes open mic time)
- Register of Deeds – 5:09 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. (three minutes open mic time)
- Manchester Alderman Group 1 – 5:18 p.m. to 5:42 p.m. (question and answer)
- Manchester Alderman Group 2 – 5:45 p.m. to 6:05 p.m. (question and answer)
- County Mayor – 6:09 p.m. to 6:39 p.m. (question and answer)
- Tullahoma Alderman Group 1 – 6:43 p.m. to 6:57 p.m. (question and answer)
- Tullahoma Alderman Group 2 – 7:01 to 7:16 p.m. (question and answer)
Early voting begins July 17. Election day is August 6. The voter registration deadline is July 7.
