Bobbye Burt Longmire, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, July 6th, 2026 at her home at the age of 91. Mrs. Longmire was born in Lynchburg to the late Charles and Blanche Smith Burt. During her life, she worked as an inspector at Tennessee Apparel and later went on to work at Walmart until she was nearly 90 years old. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Wilma Eggleston, Dot Holder, and Charlene Rhoton. Mrs. Longmire is survived by her son, John Longmire; her daughter, Tammy Clay; two sisters, Juanita (Terrice) Sawyer and Brenda (Dwayne) Bailey; and three grandchildren, Kaitlin Longmire, Kyle Longmire, and Derrek Clay; special niece and nephew, whom she helped raise, Charles Rhoton and Candy Sullivan; and numerous other beloved family members. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with her son, John Longmire, officiating. Burial will follow at Turkey Creek Methodist Cemetery in Moore County. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Turkey Creek Cemetery Fund, 1621 Turkey Creek Church Rd. Tullahoma, TN 37388.
